About Me<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

If you\u2019ve ever felt like therapy \u201cjust isn\u2019t for you,\u201d or you\u2019ve left feeling misunderstood, a lot of the people I work with have felt that way at first. Especially youth, or folks who\u2019ve sat across from a counsellor before and thought, \u201cyeah\u2026 this isn\u2019t it.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

My approach is a little different. I approach therapy in the way I have always wanted; honest, blunt, but genuine and grounded. Our sessions will feel more like a conversation than a script, and the focus is always on giving you tools and insight you can actually use in your life. The goal isn\u2019t to overanalyze everything\u2026 It\u2019s to help you feel more like yourself again, and more capable of handling what\u2019s in front of you. You already have the skills - let\u2019s just identify them and put them into practice!\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I specialize in working with youth and people navigating suicidal thoughts, addiction, trauma, and borderline personality disorder. These are often the places where people feel the most stuck or misunderstood, and also where meaningful change is absolutely possible with the right support.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

My work is strength-based at its core, though I do draw from CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Drama Therapy, along with training in treating complex trauma. I\u2019m always continuing to learn and grow in this field, because you deserve care that evolves with you.\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

Outside of the therapy space, you\u2019ll usually find me hiking or running somewhere between the mountains and the ocean! And if you\u2019re wondering why there\u2019s a melted dog on my Psychology Today profile, that\u2019s Raisin; my rescue dog, who came from a pretty devastating background and is now learning what safety and a new life can look like. Watching her figure that out has been a constant reminder that change is possible, even when things have been really hard.\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Right now, this practice is just me\u2014but it\u2019s something I\u2019m building with intention. Over time, the goal is to grow a team of therapists who share this same approach: real, compassionate, and actually human.\n<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
